Around Venø is a varied trip with a low-lying area to the south and an elevated area to the north. The harbour area on the western part of the island is very pleasant. Further to the north, you will find forests, slopes, and many birds, especially around Nørskov Vig. At the northern tip of Venø, you are almost guaranteed to spot seals and there is a good view towards Thyholm, Jegindø, and Salling. On the eastern part, you will find both forest and farmland toward the campsite. Here you will pass Venø Efterskole, an independent boarding school, shortly before the campsite. Øster Strand is a nice beach located further to the south. On the southern part, you will also find dunes and lyme grass. Be careful when you row around the southernmost point of Venø. The current is strong. Watch out and show consideration for the ferries. The best launch spot is north of the ferry port.
